1000 THREADS WEAVEs YOUR STORY

1000 Threads is a current of history in the making. It's a source for telling your story for posterity, making documentaries for over 17 years founded by Audrey Ray Daniel.

In 2005, 1000 Threads was officially launched with the film “Kurt Stoeckel, Artist.”  The film premiered at the de Young Museum along with Kurt’s artist-in-residency at the de Young. I am a passionate supporter of Artists and the Arts and I envisioned a production company that would create visual stories which would help the public understand and embrace an artist’s vision.

1000 Threads has produced 9 short films whose stories have explored the lives, philosophies and work of visual and performing artists.  On our journey of documenting these individuals I became fascinated with a second theme,  the lives of inspiring people in their 80s and 90s.

My most recent film, currently in post production “Jim Mizuki, An American Farmer, sets a new direction for the vision that 1000 Threads would like to share with audiences. As baby boomers head toward their “Golden Years,” how can I inspire them to live life to the fullest?
